Introduction

Rigby Hill is not one of those walks that you'd go to the Blue Mountains planning to do, but if you are in the area with a bit of spare time, it is an excellent diversion.

Access

Driving west along Bells Line of Road, take the Pierces Pass turnoff to the left. Drive to the bottom picnic area and park in the carpark at the end of the road.

Track notes

From 19 Apr 2002, last checked 19 Apr 2002

Look for a small unmarked track leading off from the southern (not SW) side of the car park. Once on the track the route is fairly obvious all the way to Rigby Hill. You can sit on the top, or there are a couple of lower levels closer to the cliff edge for the less faint hearted. These have a better view, particularly of the north side cliffs.

It's really only ten or fifteen minutes walk out to the end of the trail, but you want to allow a bit more time just to take in the view. The trail climbs a bit at the end but is pretty easy walking.
